Gwalior Childrens Hospital (Disabled Children of India)
To help and provide for poor, needy, disabled and destitutes esp. children and women of Gwalior and Chambal region in India, one of the most deprived areas of India characterised by exploitation of lower strata of society. We are working for last five years providing services to these people through Gwalior Childrens and General Hospital, Eye centre for prevention of blindness and saving sights, Gwalior mobile hospital for health awareness including HIV/Aids, prevention including Vaccination, early diagnosis and treatment in slums, rural and remote areas, Schools with School for special needs and orphanage (The home and hospice for children - proposed name "SNEHALAYA" i.e. home with/for/of love) with training and rehabilitation centre for disabled (physically handicapped, profound learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, mental illness, epilepsy etc.)and destitute children to give them a life with love and happiness aiming to make them independent and lead a life with self esteem as much as possible. Any help or donations for provision of these services, however small is appreciated. Volunteers to help train local staff and students and provide their services to community are required. Students and trainees are welcome. Just £250 once and or £10 per month or equivalent in any currency will provide for home, food, education and health care for such a child or £10 will give sight to a blind person or £2 will provide for vaccination for three children. All donations are tax exempted in U.K., U.S.A. and India as per existing rules in the country.
