Special Music by Special PeopleSpecial Music by Special people is a music program that allows musicians with developmental disabilities to perform, compose and record their original compositions. The program began in 1989 and was founded by Emery "Joe" Yost at the Chicago Park District. Since then the program has expanded to other agencies such as Little City, a home for children with disabilities. The Special Musicians are now working on their third compact disc. Their first two cd's "What's For Lunch!" and "We're All Stars" have been sold through their internet web site to fans all over the world. Proceeds from sales go directly to the 501(c)non profit agency, Special Music by Special People Inc.
